London

London lies by the river Thames in the southeast of England on the Island Great Britain.
London is the biggest City in England and the capital of Great Britain.
It has got a size of 1579 km².
About 7.4221.209 people live in the big city.
The weather isn't very different from Germany.
In London you can find a lot of universities, high schools, theatres and museums.

Some of the theatres in London are for example:
- The Global Theatre near the river Thames. It was designed in 1599 and Shakespeare wrote a lot of stories for this theatre.
- The Royal Haymarket is a theatre at the London Haymarket.
- The Royal Opera House you can find in Covent Garden. It is the most important british opera house.

- The Sience Museums
- The Natural History Museums
- The Imperial War Museums
- The Museums of London
- The London Dungeon
- Madame Tussauds: Madame Tussauds is one of the biggest attraktions in London for tourists. You can see sportstars and actors in wax there.

You can find more than 30.000 shops in London. Some of them are in this shopping places:
- Kings Road -> You can find lots of fashion stores there
- Old and New Bond Street-> Here you can find many designer shops and galeries
- Oxfordstreet -> There you can see a lot of shops where you can buy clothes, for example many top shops
- Charing Cross -> Charing Cross is famous for its bookstores
- Covent Garden -> In Covent Garden you find a lot of art and cafés
- Harrods -> harrods is one of the most famous shopping center
- Camden Lock Market -> There you can find a lot of punk things. Its a second hand market.
